Yes — I'm the "Beagle Bob" on the sign. Beagles may be my soft spot, but I work with dogs of every breed and size. From puppies to seniors. I got into dog training after fostering rescued dogs. Watching so many of them work through fear, reactivity, and other complicated behavior challenges is what pushed me to learn everything I could — and to train exclusively with non-aversive, reward-based methods. Today I help clients with basic behavior training as well as most fear and reactivity issues.

I'm CPDT-KA certified (Certified Pet Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed) through the Certification Council for Pet Dog Trainers, and I've completed the Master Course for Aggression in Dogs — with more classes and webinars always on the way.

From 2017 to July of 2026 I was a trainer with All Dogs Go to Kevin. Over the past 5 years I have done over 800 in home private sessions for clients throughout Northeast Ohio. Kevin has moved on to bigger things in dog training, so I have struck out on my own to continue the work I have developed a passion for.

Before this chapter, I served 33 years as a full-time firefighter and paramedic with the City of Kent, retiring in 2021. My wife is a retired schoolteacher and together we share our home with two rescue dogs — who come camping with us every chance we get.
